Using a pedometer in the following conditions may affect accuracy: carrying loosely, using solely indoors, stationary exercises, holding in hand, using with a walking aid, and taking slow or light steps.
The essential 10-step error prevention feature prevents irregular non-walking movements from being falsely counted as steps. The sensor will start or resume counting steps after taking 10 consecutive steps. All steps taken before it begins or resumes counting will be added as long as walking continues. From the 10th step, the step counter will resume counting, i.e. 11, 12, 13, etc.
